Bluelight Treatments

"Bluelight" treatments are light based acne treatments that use a narrow band of visible light in the blue range of the light spectrum. Bluelight treatment, although it is not a laser, is an FDA approved narrow-band, high-intensity blue-light therapy. The treatment works by killing the acne-causing bacteria. Blue-light products do not contain ultraviolet (UV) light, because UV light can be damaging to the skin.

Side effects tend to be mild and include temporary pigment changes, swelling of the treated areas, and dryness.
